What to do if the pressure reducing cover of the slurry pump is worn?

The slurry pump pressure reducing cover is an accessory for the slurry pump shaft seal. The pressure reducing cover is only used when using the auxiliary impeller seal. It is used with the auxiliary impeller. The principle of secondary impeller sealing is to use the reaction force generated when the secondary impeller rotates to form a gas-liquid separation surface to achieve the sealing effect.

If you find that the pressure reducing cover of the slurry pump is worn, you can consider replacing the material. Generally, the flow-passing parts of slurry pumps are made of high-chromium alloy wear-resistant materials, because they are parts that directly contact the slurry. The pressure reducing cover rarely comes into contact with the slurry, so most of them are made of ordinary cast iron. However, sometimes the pressure reducing cover and the secondary impeller come into contact with the slurry, so there will be wear and tear. If this happens, you can consider replacing the secondary impeller and pressure reducing cover with wear-resistant high-chromium alloy materials.
